Alaina is a married mother of four living in Denver. A Florida transplant, she married and moved to Denver in 1996. After leaving the workforce in 2000 to stay home with her first child, Alaina discovered that finding a job online required a lot of research. In 2009 she founded Telecommuting Moms, a site dedicated to helping moms find legitimate work from home.
Alaina is also the work-from-home expert for Answers.com, a contributing writer for WAHM.com, as well as a social media manager for AshleyKingsley.com. She can also occasionally be found at her personal blog, The Maestro Mom.
While Alaina enjoys her online career, the majority of her day is spent homeschooling her kids and providing care for foster children. She also serves as a taxi driver shuttling her four kids ranging in age from six to fourteen to all of their sports and activities. Their family enjoys getting outdoors hiking, picnicking, and geocaching around the Denver area.

Amanda M.
A true Colorado native; born and raised in the mountains. A wife, mother, daughter and friend. Lover of lifestyle fashion, blizzards, my son’s car singing and New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. A dreamer, realist and explorer. I love to travel, feel uncomfortable in new situations and challenge myself. My son is my inspiration, my Pomeranian makes me laugh and my husband grounds me.
Currently a stay-at-home mother but a former special education teacher. My passion is people and I love interacting with others. If I could do it all again I would be a cultural anthropologist but will have to grow up to do that!! If I am not playing trucks, taking the pooch for a walk or listening to random podcasts you can find me over on my personal blog Pish to Posh. Carla F.
Carla Fisher lives in Golden with her husband James, three young boys (Zachary, Quinn, and Cameron and two old dogs (Jack and Reilly). Originally Canadian (well, actually still Canadian), she grew up reluctantly moving around frequently, but then carried it on until settling in Colorado in 2013.
Carla went to university to study first Applied Mathematics and then Education, and worked as a teacher and in the Mental Health field before switching over to full-time parenthood almost nine years ago. Her passions, besides loving her family and all that crap, are attempting to embrace aging, change, and anxiety, and making mindfulness and meditation less mocked buzzwords and more legitimate coping strategies towards mental health.
One day she hopes to use the yoga trainings she enjoys escaping to to actually teach yoga. Maybe. She writes very rarely at www.hathamama.com
Dani N.
Dani is a loud, Italian, New York transplant who came to Colorado for college and never left. It was there she met the love of her life and very best friend and put down roots in Denver. Mama to the wildest almost-2-year old little boy in town, she is a retired therapist (at least for now), works full time as a mom, and works part time as a floral designer out of her home. She’s a home body, loves to cook, and defines cleaning as making sure everything “looks pretty.”
Motherhood has pretty much blown all of her expectations out of the water and she’s still trying to figure out where, how, and when to come up for air. Dry shampoo has become a way of life because showers have become nearly impossible. Her husband, houseplants, and life long girlfriends keep her sane on this incredible (and at times, bewildering) adventure.

Jamie R.
Jamie recently returned home to the town she grew up in, just south of Denver. After being in the metro area for six years the slower change of pace has been a welcome change.
She is married to her hot husband, Tim. And is mom to two girls, Karoline and Alexandra.
Blogging the truth about motherhood is something that she finds rewarding and freeing. Her hope is that by sharing real stories about the ups and downs of motherhood that moms will know they aren’t alone on this journey.
Jamie enjoys spending time outside when it is nice and warm, but still finds snow majestic. She’s become one of those classic Coloradans and enjoys exercising and running as a form of me time. Her idea of camping is a hotel but is slowly expanding her horizons to the ideas of tents, dirt and hair that smells like smoke for days. Jamie blogs personally at jamieelizabethreed.com

Jeni A.
Jeni is a full-time working mom to two wild, crazy, creative little girls, 4 year-old Evelyn and 2 year-old Alice. Jeni spends her days as a public relations and social media consultant for technology companies, and her nights chasing her girls around their Highlands neighborhood and having living room dance parties.
Jeni loves to travel and is committed to taking her girls to all over the world if she can help it, but having grown up in Colorado, knows she will always call it home. An introvert with a dry sense of humor, she is known to call it like she sees it – all with a smile on her face.
Jeni writes about life as a working mom, the intersection of media and culture, and what it’s like to raise girls in an age of constant scrutiny. You can find her at jenianderson.com or on Twitter and Instagram.

Karleen L.
Karleen is proud to be a (rare) Denver-Metro native, currently living in Broomfield with her husband and spunky one year-old baby girl. Karleen currently works full time for a marketing agency managing the digital strategy and copywriting for communities all over the country. In a life previous to her career in digital content, Karleen was a professional ice skater, performing everywhere from theme parks to cruise ships throughout North America and Europe. Unpacking her bags permanently in the Mile High City in 2012 has been a welcome change of pace, and motherhood is the most recent adventure she’s attempting to navigate one day at a time.
Karleen is a graduate of the University of Denver, which remains her most favorite neighborhood in Denver. Aside from working and baby wrangling, Karleen can be found snuggled in bed with a good book, taking the occasional lap around the rink at the nearby YMCA, or drinking coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

Katie B.
Katie is stay at home mom to two rambunctious little ones, a four-year-old girl, and two-year-old boy. She is married to her college sweetheart, Andy. They share a love for traveling, binge watching Netflix with ice cream, and laughing together over last thing one of their kids came up with.
A former Registered Nurse, Katie hopes to one day to return to the career she loves, but is thankful for the opportunity to spend extra time with her kids now. In the meantime, she enjoys watching her kids grow and learn, reading and writing, girl time with friends, date nights with her husband, and exploring Colorado with her family (usually with a toddler in her hiking backpack!)
She is excited to be a contributor at DMMB! It is her hope through blogging to share her journey through motherhood, and all of its joys and imperfections, with openness and honesty.

Katie S.
Katie is a Denver transplant from Chicago (go Cubs!) and a working mom to twins William and Amelia. She moved to Denver in 2003 and hasn’t looked back since, but the weather and mountains play a big part in that. Katie married her husband, Peter, in 2011 and welcomed two little dogs into the mix a few years before the kiddos came.
When not working or juggling two babies, Katie loves to cook gluten-free treats and other delicious recipes including homemade baby food and dog treats. A former middle school teacher, Katie works in K-12 publishing and professional development and is passionate about education. Katie and her husband love checking out new restaurants, doing house projects, binge-watching shows on Netflix, and taking their clan out for neighborhood walks and hikes.
Kim H.
Kim originally hails from the mid-Atlantic region. A year of volunteer service with Americorps brought her and her husband out to Denver, and the culture of the city kept them here. They welcomed their daughter into their family in June of 2015 which sparked new callings for Kim. After being the communications manager of a sustainability nonprofit for years, she became a stay at home mother and started her own videography business. She and her husband love to hike, visit breweries and dine out, and they are working on getting their toddler to love these things as well!
Lindsey F.
Lindsey is a stay-at-home-mom to two beautiful girls, two-year-old Rory and one-year-old Scout. She is a former kindergarten teacher and has been married to her Japanese-Brazilian husband for 8 years. She and her husband have also lived in Dallas and New Hampshire, but like Colorado best.
When she’s not explaining why cookies don’t count as a healthy snack, or convincing her toddler to wear boots in the snow, Lindsey enjoys reading, making lists, and pinning projects on Pinterest she’ll probably never attempt. She also enjoys traveling (or used to before strollers and car seats were involved), baking (but not cooking), and watching HGTV. If her husband were writing this, he would probably say she is an expert household manager and drinks too much iced coffee. If her two- year-old daughter were writing this, she would probably say her mom is slightly obsessed with car seat safety and makes really good cinnamon toast.
Lindsey is very excited to share her perspective on all things motherhood with other Denver-area moms!

Megan G.

She works full time as a Licensed Professional Counselor, and is loving life as full-time stepmama to the lovely and talented e. Megan derives the greatest joy from her daughter’s shared penchant for entertaining, crafting, and mixing patterns.
When she’s not at the beck and call of said 7 year old, Megan enjoys Book Club with her friends, watching her husband cook, making people laugh, and any opportunity to sing karaoke. Megan loves telling stories and has been blogging as the mood strikes since her arrival in Denver [at i am a little church] – and she is thrilled to be sorting through the excitement of motherhood with the other Denver Metro mamas!

Melissa M.
Melissa is an adventurer at heart, seeking to embrace the beauty and wildness of this life with her co-adventurer and husband of 8 years, Tom. When she’s not splashing in a mud puddle with her boys, ages 3 and 4, or cleaning the remains of a diaper gone awry from the hallway walls, Melissa works part-time as a Licensed Professional Counselor, striving to empower women through her practice, Rise and Shine Counseling.
Give her a mountain and some free time and she’ll find a way to play, embracing every opportunity to run the trails, ski the slopes, and bike or hike the hills. A great day for Melissa would include a pre-dawn trail run, a cup (or maybe 3) of coffee, brushed teeth, some belly laughing with her boys, a little uninterrupted (what’s that?) time to read and write, and sharing in some good conversation over a glass of bold red wine with her hubby. Her faith, her people, and her sense of humor, carry her through the peaks and valleys of this life. She attempts to chronicle the journey over at her blog, www.expectantlife.com.

Natalie M.
Natalie is a self-proclaimed vampire who spends her nights at her office at 38,000 feet as a flight attendant and days mothering daughter Charlotte in-between teaching cycle, yoga and barre classes. Being a working mom who also has the luxury of being home during the day has its own set of challenges which Natalie happily meets with the help of coffee and wine. She’s lived in Colorado ten years and been married since 2009 to a husband who happily indulges her love of biking (with baby) to breweries around town.
Because flying three days a week and teaching 12 classes around town couldn’t possibly fill up all her time, Natalie also busies herself camping and hiking 14ers. Her daughter has only made it up Mount Evans and the Manitou Springs Incline with her but Natalie’s lifetime goal is to hike the remaining 16 of the 58 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado. You can regularly find her blogging about her travel adventures on her blog, Flying For Free Magee. Her website yogimagee.com features free fitness videos for busy moms plus both local and international yoga retreats that she organizes and leads year round.
The flying for free Magee’s currently live in Arvada with their naughty vizsla named Bebe and panther of a cat, Kingsley.

Neon M.
Yes, Neon is her real name, and she was born in Southern California in the 1980s, so that should explain a lot! She has been in Colorado most of her life and married a native, so there is a lot of love for the Mile High City in the McCarthy Family. Neon has been working full time in Marketing and PR for 15 years and is still a full time working mom of two.
Rhonda W.
Rhonda is a fun lovin’ momma who spends most of her time trying to make sure her 5 kiddos make it through the day with pants on! As a mom to a new driver and a new baby (and the 3 in between!) she has difficulties keeping their names straight without a little bit of coffee first…and lots of it! Having a husband who works 48 hour shifts has taught her how to balance the cooking, the never ending pile of laundry, and the running of kids from activity to activity without losing it.
When not riding shotgun, Rhonda enjoys volunteering, reading, baking and falling asleep on the couch. For an escape from the household, she works very part time for UCHealth and really enjoys the people it brings into her life.
As a Colorado native Rhonda knows how much fun it is to grow up in northern Colorado and hopes she is able to share that with other moms and connect with those who share her love for all things “mom” (except the laundry-there is no love for laundry).

Sam C.
Sam(antha) Cronin is a former-Google-employee-turned-writer, #boymom of two and proud wifey to a professional soccer player… also named Sam(uel). She currently lives in NW Denver and works part-time at Nelson Literary Agency. When she’s not working, writing, or wrangling the aforementioned males in her household, she indulges wholeheartedly in barre-inspired fitness classes, hunting four-leaf clovers and reading endless picture books (to herself). She blogs about parenting, dream-chasing and her misadventures trying to balance the two at www.seasonsofsam.com. Come say hi on Twitter or Instagram!
Shannon M.
Shannon is a proud Denver native and a full-time working Mom with three boys…one his (aka #1), one hers (aka #2) , one theirs (aka #3)… #1 a product of divorce , #2 a product of a death and #3 the product of our marriage . . . one who can legally drink, one who wants to and a third who has just learned to read, her mom moments have spanned all phases!
Her full time gig as the Director of Marketing and Communications for PERFECT TEETH occupies the bulk of her daytime hours which means nights are for homework, sports, PTO, laundry and supporting her hubby’s new businesses. When she’s not working, driving kids around or doing the typical mom thing, she writes, openly and honestly, mostly about motherhood. Sometimes it’s on this blog, but mainly on her own. As a lover of the outdoors, you’ll rarely find her sitting in front of her computer, usually it’s from her phone while sitting on the sidelines of a soccer game, camping, sitting by the pool or the beach and occasionally from bed.
Through it all she talks ad naseum about motherhood with other women, some of whom think she has all the answers. She’ll tell you, she doesn’t! But, she’s a firm believer that as different as moms are, they’re really not all that different. And most importantly, through it all – the joy, the heartbreak, the guilt, the laughs, the tears, the fear, the days we’re hanging by a thread, we’re all just doing the best we can!
And most days…it’s good enough.
