Take your kiddos to the Denver Art Museum! Yes, SERIOUSLY — do it!
Many people may not know {and I was one of these people until recently} that the Denver Art Museum {DAM} is a fabulous place to take your children. They have tons of ongoing programs and special events specifically designed for kids and families!
To give kids more access to art than ever before, the Denver Art Museum recently announced that admission is FREE to all youth ages 18 and under EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Daily, the DAM has a Just For Fun Center and Kids Corner where children can build, color, and imagine! Exploring the “Fun Things For Families To Do Today” brochure {available in English or Spanish} has activities on every floor of the museum! On Weekends, the DAM has Backpacks and Art Tubes available that are full of artmaking, games, and puzzles! Create-n-Takes are more awesome in-gallery activities that are open on weekends, school breaks, and weekdays during summer. Monthly, the DAM offers CelebrARTE on the first Saturday of the month with bilingual family activities. Create Playdate on the second Wednesday of the month is specifically for 3-5 year olds and their grown-ups to enjoy artmaking, story time, and hands-on activities. Fox Tale Sunday, on the second Sunday of each month, features a performance of the beloved Foxy and Schmoxy inspired by the Fox Games artwork. The DAM also offers special programs, summer classes, and many more events to engage children with art.
Would love this!
