Sweet Action Ice Cream
This ice creamery is located off Broadway in Denver and features adventurous flavors like Peanut Butter and Jelly, Vegan Cookie Dough, Iced Tea Lemon Sorbet, Stranahan’s Whiskey Brickle and Honey Almond Orange Blossom. The ice cream and sorbet is made by hand with local ingredients, including Colorado dairy. The shop aims to create a sustainable business, is powered by wind energy, AND will ship their goods straight to your door (best new mommy gift EVER)!!
Little Man Ice Cream
Little Man Ice Cream is located in the Heart of the Highlands neighborhood in downtown Denver. The iconic 28 foot tall cream can-shaped building has been a Denver favorite for many years thanks to their high-quality, hand-made ice cream. The menu includes flavors such as Drunken Oatmeal Raisin, Blackberry Honey Goat Cheese, and Salted Oreo. They also offer several vegan options!
Liks Ice Cream
This family-owned creamery has locations in both Capitol Hill and Conifer. Their cream base is made from local eggs and hormone-free milk, and then turned into delicious ice cream flavors such as Cayenne Caramel and Caramel Irish Stout. For over 30 years, Denverites have flocked to Liks for some of the area’s favorite scoops!
Bonnie Brae Ice Cream
This traditional parlor is located in Denver off University, and is a longtime neighborhood favorite. The shop features over 80 flavors, many made daily, from Vanilla to Mexican Chocolate, Banana Cream Pie to Gingersnap, it’s sure to please your whole crowd! Amore Gelato
Craving something that reminds you of that pre-kiddos trip to Italy? (Or maybe one that helps you dream of the one you’ll someday take!) Head downtown to 16th Street, and check out Denver’s favorite spot for fabulous gelato in delicious traditional flavors and features for the adventurous like s’mores and banana Nutella! The shop also features sorbetto and Italian ice along with coffees, lattes, and other great drinks.
Nuggs Ice Cream
Nuggs Ice Cream is family-owned and operated and located off Colfax Avenue in Denver in the heart of the Park Hill neighborhood. The shop offers ice cream in a variety of flavors, milk shakes, sundaes, and ice cream cakes. The owners, Chris and Nick Sullivan, also own Brothers BBQ and opened Nuggs in 2014, when it became a quick local favorite. The ice cream is homemade in Denver and the shop features flavors such as Blue Moon and Super Duper Strawberry.
Snowlab
If you enjoy a vegan lifestyle or have certain dietary restrictions, check out Snowlab in Denver off Evans Avenue between I25 and Colorado. Snowlab features shaved snow as an alternative to ice cream and frozen yogurt. All the ingredients are made with all-natural ingredients and the base is completely vegan. Preset menu items include flavors like Oreo Peak (Oreo Shaved Snow, strawberries, crushed Oreos, and condensed milk) and Green Tea Mountain (Green Tea Shaved Snow, mini mochis, red beans, and condensed milk). Snowlab focuses on quality ingredients, being vegan-friendly, and customer service.
Fior di Latte
If you’re a Boulder resident, or just a gelato lover, then we MUST recommend heading to Fior di Latte for a scoop (or two or three) of their incredible, authentic, Italian gelato. Fior di Latte has two Boulder locations (both on Pearl Street), and features such incredible flavors as Blueberry Mascarpone Cheesecake, Valrhona Dark Chocolate (vegan!), Hazlenut Toffee, Strawberry Pink Peppercorn, and Sea Salt Caramel. This place is a MUST.
