Denver’s Best Baby Boutiques and Consignment Stores

2

If you’re like me, when buying for baby, be it yours or a friend’s, you want to find something different and not-so-ordinary. The chain baby stores are great for the essentials, but they don’t offer many unique options. And, if I’m going to pay full price (what?!), I want something that not every other baby on the block will have. So my friends, I give you my favorite Baby Boutiques and Consignment Stores in the Denver Metro Area.

Real Baby
Real Baby – This ultimate baby store is in the heart of Highlands Square. The store has character and oodles of adorable baby and kids gear. The only downfall is that there are so many cute items, it’s easy to go overboard. Their line of Colorado-themed clothing, made by a local designer, caused me to spend $26 on a t-shirt for my 4-month old, something I never thought I’d do, but oops, I did. Their outfits are downright adorable and something you definitely won’t find at the chain stores. They carry an assortment of high quality gear from Angel Dear, Skip Hop, Petunia Pickle Bottom, Aden & Anais and Boon. With a full train set right there in the store, this is the place for unique wooden toys by Melissa and Doug, and so much more. And if you’re a mom-to-be, you can register here and score a 10% off completion discount!

talulah jonesTalulah Jones – Talulah is a lifestyle design boutique located in Uptown. It is one of my favorite places to purchase baby shower gifts! I know that everything I find will be great quality and totally unique. When you walk into the store, it’s like walking in to a wonderland. So many beautiful displays of whimsical gift ideas for all ages and an entire wall of original stuffed animals. They are passionate about ‘going green’, and have a variety of products that are made out of recycled paper. Be sure to set aside a good amount of time in this store, as you will have to circle it at least twice and you still won’t see everything. As you are checking out, be sure to check out the live finches chirping away, while you watch them gift wrap (at no charge) what is sure to be the best gift at your shower or party.

Wish Gifts – WISH offers giftwish giftss that are funny, thoughtful and chic for the children in your life. Centered on Gaylord Street in the heart of Wash Park, their products are pricey, but hey, they are made in the USA! They have adorable onesies (and some Colorado themed, of course), organic baby rattles and assorted baby gifts like tiny, adorable socks, wooden toys and baby soft lovies. And where else can you get champagne and pomegrante cocktails when you walk in the door?! I assure you, you will not leave empty-handed, and your gift will be one-of-a-kind.

loved before kids

Loved Before Kids Store – I am all about consignment stores. Especially when I know my son is only going to wear clothes for a couple of months, and only like specific toys for who knows how long. This store, located off C-470 and Kipling, specializes in secondhand maternity clothes, kid’s toys, books, baby gear, bedding and children’s clothes size newborn to 4 years. I came here in search of maternity clothes, and have already been back for baby clothes and an exersaucer. I suggest liking their Facebook page, as they always post their new inventory and will even respond to messages if you’re looking for something in particular. And when your child is done with their clothes and over their toys, take them in on their consigning days and earn some money!

This is my other favorite consignment store, located in Golden. I found a pair of Gap and Seven maternity jeans here for a third of what you would pay new. They carry a variety of designer maternity clothes, and, you guessed it, baby/kids clothes and gear as well! From strollers, swings, carseats and bumbo seats, they have every baby essential you can imagine. I purchased an adorable nursery decor set here to put in my son’s room at Grandma’s house. Bumpers, sheets, blanket, crib skirt, lamp – for a great price. The owner is lovely and will answer any questions you might have. She also keeps a great Facebook page, as well! Yet another great place to take your gently used maternity clothes, baby clothes and toys, and get some cash for your next mani/pedi!
