We were so honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to gather over 100 Denver Metro area moms last week in honor of motherhood. In partnership with Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children we welcomed dozens of mothers and moms-to-be to Bloom, an event designed specifically for new and expectant moms, held at the Montessori Academy of Colorado.
The Food and Entertainment:
Upon arrival, new and expectant mamas were greeted by the aroma of delicious coffee from Drip Denver Coffee, and a beautiful array of pastries and fruit from Jason’s Deli, accompanied by everyone’s favorite Noosa yoghurt.
After mingling and grabbing some food, guests were invited to attend breakout sessions put on by our fabulous sponsors. “Move that Mama Body,” focused on the benefits of prenatal chiropractic care and tips on yoga moves that work pre and post baby from our friends at Vita Vital Chiropractic and the mama’hood. Moms just loved covering the basics of baby wearing, choosing a good carrier, and talking about lactation, supply, and storage in “Breast Feeding and Baby Wearing,” with the mama’hood and Baby + Company. In “Dollars and Sense of Having a Baby,” our friends at Atlas Real Estate Group and Jody Brammer-Hoelter, LLC brought fabulous information in “Dollars and Sense of Having a Baby,” where attendees learned about which home projects really pay off and add value, tips on knowing your neighborhood, and using real estate as an investment opportunity as well as valuable information on family estate planning and guardianship. In “Had a Baby, Now What,” moms talked about transitioning from pregnancy to motherhood and choosing a daycare program or school that is the best fit for your family and child with Blissful Mama Coaching and the Montessori Academy of Colorado.
When not in a session our guests were given the opportunity to create a take home craft with oh so fancy, take a break in our nursing/diaper changing “Baby Spot” room provided by Baby + Company, have a professional photo taken by Kellie Coughlin Photographer, or enjoying a fabulous chair massage from Atlas Real Estate Group. Moms loved visiting all our table sponsors, catering to families welcoming a new bundle of joy, Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, Atlas Real Estate Group, Dr. Smith’s, Montessori Academy of Colorado, Gymboree Play and Music, the mama’hood, Vita Vital Chiropractic, A Prepared Environment, Boulder Clean, Maternal Instincts, Plexus Worldwide and Jody Brammer-Hoelter, LLC.
The Panel:
Our day was rounded off listening and asking questions of our amazing panel of experts from Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, focusing on the transition into this new stage in life. A huge thank you to Dr. Laurel Benson – Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon, Megan Lee, BSN, RNC-OB – Program Coordinator, HealthONE Center for Maternal Fetal Health, Lisa Olson – Pediatric Nurse Navigator, HealthONE Center for Maternal Fetal Health, and Dr. Jeremiah McNamara from the OB/GYN Center.
