12 Days of Giveaways:: Handcrafted Wooden Helicopter

    Who doesn’t want their children playing with high quality, handmade, wooden toys – especially when those beautiful toys come from a local business?

    September 2012 (2 of 152)Erin and Aaron are the husband and wife behind A Summer Afternoon, and they specialize in making wooden cars, rattles, teethers, blocks, developmental, Waldorf and Montessori toys.

    Their wooden toys are handcrafted of quality hardwoods and they use only natural, child-safe wood finishes. Each product is designed to encourage play, developmental skills, creativity, and imagination.

    The wooden helicopter is generously sized at approximately 11″(l) x 5(h) x 3.5″(w). Both of the rotors/propellors really spin, providing hours of fun for your child!

    The helicopters come in a variety of hardwood combinations-very rarely repeating any combination-so your helicopter may not look exactly the same as any pictured above, but they always try to create a color contrast with the different types of wood that we use. Woods used include: walnut, cherry, mahogany, oak, alder, and maple

    One lucky reader will win an handcrafted wooden helicopter {$45 value}
