Autumn in Denver is finally here! When the morning air across the front range starts to have that delicious crispness in it, we know it’s time to get out the fall decorations and start thinking about cozy sweaters, the beautiful fall foliage, the excitement of football, pumpkin spice everything, and of course . . . a trip to one of our favorite local Denver area pumpkin patches to pick the perfect pumpkin before wandering through a corn maze.

We’ve gathered a list of our favorite Denver pumpkin patches from across the front range, so pull on those boots, grab your favorite scarf, and get ready for pumpkins, corn mazes, and all the fun fall in Denver brings.


Denver Pumpkin Patches - Denver MomsAnderson Farms – Erie

6728 County Road 3 1/4, Erie, CO 80516 | September 22- October 31

The Anderson Farms Fall Festival is so much more than a pumpkin patch . . . it’s an experience guaranteed to be fun for the whole family! In addition to enjoying one of the best pumpkin patches around, Anderson farms has a corn maze, hayrides, jump pads, a pumpkin cannon, pony rides, face painting, live music, magic shows, and so much more! For older kids (and moms braver than I am), stick around late for zombie paintball, and haunted hayrides. Be sure to check out their website for information on which activities are available on which days!

Tickets are available online or at the gate, and are discounted through October 4th!


Berry Patch Farms – Brighton

Saturdays in October bring the Family Pumpkin Adventures to Berry Patch Farms! Join the fun for a hayride, straw maze, crafts, honey bee & pumpkin exhibits, mural coloring, bean bag toss silhouettes, seasonal certified organic produce.


Chatfield Farms Pumpkin Festival – Littleton

8500 W Deer Creek Canyon Road, Littleton, CO 80128 | October 8-10

Head down to Chatfield Farms the weekend of October 8 – 10 for this treasured October family tradition. The Chatfield Farms Pumpkin Festival has pumpkin patches, pony rides, hayrides, carnival games, a mini-corn maze, face painting, bouncers, an obstacle course, and more! Adults can also browse the craft and artisan booths, listen to live music, munch on some great local eats, and enjoy a cold beer.

Chatfield Farms also has a fantastic corn maze that can be explored by day or after dark!


Denver Pumpkin Patches - Denver MomsCottonwood Farms – Lafayette

This family farm located just north of Lafayette is full of fall fun. They have an amazing selection of pumpkins and fall produce. Bring your own or borrow a red wagon for a trip out to the pumpkin patch, take a walk in the four-acre corn maze and snap pictures of your littlest ones can in the straw bale maze. Introduce your kiddos to the friendly sheep, pet the cuddly bunnies, and laugh at the silly goats. Wagon rides are available on Saturdays and Sundays in October.

This farm in Platteville has a fantastic pumpkin patch and is a fun place to show the kids how a real working farm runs. Take a hayride through 180-acres of fields, where you can harvest your own vegetables and pumpkins in the pumpkin patches! Kiddos will love the “Croc-pit” (imagine thousands and thousands of chopped-up Crocs in a giant pile-o-fun), corn maze, kids play areas, antique tractors, peddle tractors, a hay pyramid, farm animals, and a unique collection of oddities and activities. Snacks, drinks, and other delicious treats are available too!

Nick’s Garden Center – Aurora

In October, Nick’s garden center transforms into Nick’s Fall Fest. Fall Fest is a family-friendly environment, offering tractor rides, a free straw maze, photo opportunities, storytime with Professor Pumpkin, a play area, and games. With tons of pumpkins for sale, fall decorations, and freshly popped kettle corn, it’s the best way to welcome autumn.

Osborn Farms – Loveland

1230 S. Boise Avenue, Loveland, CO 80537 | September 25 – October 31

The established Loveland farm — family-owned since 1861 — is small, neat and to the point: Drive to the site, park your car, then grab a wheelbarrow and get to picking. They have a field full of pumpkins, a petting zoo, barrel train, gourds, Indian corn, corn stalks, and straw bales available for purchase. Food vendors and hayrides are available Saturdays and Sundays

  1. Do you know if there are any pumkin patches open after the 31st? I am traveling to Denver, CO next weekend and would like to take my grandson out to a patch.
