Valentine’s Dances In The Denver Metro Area

Valentine's Dances In The Denver Metro Area | Denver Metro Moms Blog

I love Valentine’s Day and dancing.

I also love any opportunity to give my husband and daughter the chance to enhance their bond. Last year my husband and daughter went to a Father Daughter dance for Valentine’s Day in Boulder. My daughter was only 2 at the time, but according to the pictures and videos, she had a blast chasing after balloons, shaking her rump, and eating pretzels. I don’t think she really understood the significance of her dad dressing up in a suit and taking her on a special daddy daughter date, but it was still pretty fun for both of them.

Because they had such a great time last year, I thought it would be fun to see what other Valentine’s themed dances there are for kids in the Denver Metro Area. During my search, I noticed that most of the Valentine’s themed dances for kids are daddy daughter dances. That works for me, because I plan on having my own dance party at home while my husband and daughter attend their second Father Daughter dance this year. So take a look at this list and gently encourage the dads and grandfathers in your life to take their girls out for a special night on the town. I am sure they will cherish the memories!

Kristina was born in Boston, but has called many places home since then. Although she has lived in every time zone in the United States, Colorado is by far her favorite place to live. Kristina is married to her middle school crush who she met when she was 12. Together they have a very spirited and sweet 3 year old daughter who is nicknamed Baby Bop. Baby Bop is super extroverted and her mama is a strange combination of an introvert with an outgoing side. Once you get to know her she is anything but quiet. Kristina’s favorite activities include reading, laughing, dancing, singing (loudly), and exploring all of the local playgrounds with her daughter. Kristina recently performed in the 2016 Boulder production of Listen To Your Mother. Her writing has also been featured on The Huffington Post, Scary Mommy, Mamalode, Parent.Co, The Mighty, and more. 1. What a wonderful tradition to start for your daughter and husband. I know that Colorado Community is also doing a Father and daughter dance.

    • Thank you! I can’t wait to see this tradition grow from year to year. Thanks for the info about Colorado Community’s dance. Next year I will keep an eye out for it.
