Best Trick or Treating Around the Denver Area

Halloween means the activity our children look forward to year round is here — trick or treating! Costumes, candy, fun, and maybe a few tricks can be found at these fun events around the Denver Metro area. Get ready for trick or treating fun!


BOOnion Station Kids Halloween Parade and Party | Denver

October 25th | 5pm – 8pm

Denver’s favorite family friendly spooky celebration will haunt Union Station once again!  Bring your little ghosts, superheroes and princesses to enjoy trick-or treating at merchant shops, a costume parade, mini-train rides, balloon/face paint artists, surprise costumed characters, and so much more. Prizes will be given for best costume and best group/family costume. The event is FREE and open to the public!


Glendale Sports Center Halloween Party | Glendale

October 25th | 5:30pm – 7pm

Treats, haunted house, crafts, prizes for the best costumes, music and more!


Denver Public Library Trick or Treat Street | Denver

October 26th | 2:30pm – 5pm

Enjoy trick or treating and not-so-scary fun throughout the Central Library, plus, a party in the Children’s Library and a shadow play experience. Costumes are optional, but welcome. Ideal for ages 0-12 and caregivers.


Halloween Carnival | Boulder

October 26th | 3pm – 5pm

The Annual Halloween Carnival is a community wide, family-friendly event held at the South Boulder Recreation Center.  We welcome all ages to this event, but we find that the carnival suits most visitors ages 3 – 8 best. Children under 3 are free, as are adults.  All other children are $5 each, which includes all the activities at the Halloween Carnival – a bouncy castle, carnival games, crafts, a photo booth, face paint, prizes, and more! The Carnival takes place in the South Boulder Recreation Center Gymnasium. 


Firestone Police Department Halloween Safe Night | Firestone

October 26th | 5pm – 8pm

Every ghost and goblin will enjoy Halloween in a safe environment with the Firestone Police Department. This event includes carnival style games to challenge every age, a trackless train for fun rides, inflatables, food truck, safety handouts and a goody bag for attendees.. 


WOW! Children’s Museum Halloween Party | Lafayette

October 26th | 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Ghostly crafts, spooky science experiments, games, tasty treats by Happy Family, giveaways, plus playtime in the museum.


BOO-rific Bash and Splash | Littleton

October 26th | 6pm – 8pm

This affordable, fun and safe indoor trick-or-treating event allows children to dress in full costume, trick-or-treat among community business tables and enjoy fun activities. Swimming in the Ridge Pools is included in the festivities, swimsuit required to go swimming. Children 5 and under MUST be accompanied in the water by an adult


Trick or Treat Street | Denver

October 26th – 28th | 9am – 6pm

Let the ghoul times roll as your little ones show off their costumes and enjoy the Monster Carnival, Halloween Carnival, Spooky Science Experiments, face painting, Fang-tastic Treats in the Teaching Kitchen, Instrument Petting Zoo, Rocky Mountain Mini Train, and much more at the Children’s Museum of Denver! Don’t miss this safe and exciting Halloween adventure!


Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat Street | Longmont

October 27th | 10am

Dress up in your Halloween Costume, march on Main Street and visit Downtown participating merchants for Trick or Treat Street immediately following the parade. Kids of all ages can be a part of this costume foot parade. No registration is required!  Strollers or wagons are recommended for tiny feet; no motorized vehicles or large animals. Dogs must be leashed.


Halloween Family Fun Festival | Loveland

October 27th | 10am – 2pm

Join the Loveland Museum for the 17th anniversary of the Halloween Family Fun Festival! This family-friendly event is a community favorite, drawing hundreds of families downtown for trick-or-treating, activity booths and entertainment. Dress up the family and head into town for some Halloween fun! Peters Park (next to the Museum) and the adjacent lot will be filled with community booths with several fun activities for children. There will also be food, entertainment, and a costume contest. Downtown merchants will be giving each ghost, goblin, princess, and butterfly a treat, while supplies last!


Belmar Boo | Lakewood

October 27th | 11am – 2pm

Spooktacular Halloween Fun for Ghosts, Ghouls & Goblins!  Join Belmar in celebrating Halloween with daytime trick-or-treating and a pet costume contest at the Belmar Boo! This is a free community event, costumed kids 10 and under are invited to trick-or-treat the streets of Belmar. Register your pet for the Belmar Halloween Pet Costume Contest.  Find your favorite costume at Spirit Halloween now open next to the plaza!


Broomfield Spooktacular | Broomfield

October 27th | 11am – 2pm

Kiddos should come dressed in costume and bring a bag to gather all the goodies. Enjoy carnival games, jumping castles, wagon rides, crafts and entertainment! 


Halloween at the Gardens on Havana | Aurora

October 27th | 12pm – 4pm

Bring the whole family in costume to go trick-or-treating and participate in a costume tontestat the Merchants at The Gardens on Havana (former Buckingham Square Mall site) on the SE corner of Havana & Mississippi.  These 30+ merchants at The Gardens on Havana will all have free candy for the kids (while candy lasts)! 


Boo & Brew on Colfax Avenue | Denver

October 27th | 1pm – 4pm

The 12th annual Boo n’ Brew, hosted by the Bluebird Business Improvement District will once again take over Colfax Avenue between Josephine and Colorado Blvd.  The event is two parts- one-part Kids and Family fun, from 1-4pm and one-part Adult self-led Halloween bar crawl. From 1-4pm Colfax will come alive with the cutest costumed kiddos, a family friendly block party, complete with trick o’ treating at more than 20 Colfax Businesses, live music to keep moving, pumpkin decorating, a bouncy castle at Tiger Kim’s, face painting, food and drink specials and MORE!  It is an opportunity to meet, greet, celebrate fall and say hi to neighbors and business owners alike! The first 100 kiddos to check-in in front of Groundswell will receive a one-of-a-kind Boo n’ Brew pillow case to fill with all of the LOOT!  Come see what’s happening in the neighborhood and join in the festivities!


Boo at the Zoo | Denver

What is Halloween without Boo at the Zoo? Denver families have come to love this annual trick or treating event, where kids can enjoy the season’s fun without being scared, all while supporting your local zoo.


Trick or Treat Train | Golden

October 27th & 28th | 10am – 4pm

The Railroad Halloween Town is the PERFECT place to enjoy Halloween on the historic railroad! Visit all of the Town’s specially (not so) spooky stops to fill your treat bags and take pictures in front of the Pumpkin Patch cart! This is a don’t miss trick or treating event for little ghouls and goblins!   


Munchkin Masquerade 2018 | Boulder

October 31st |3pm – 6pm

Pearl Street and beyond – Downtown Boulder area

Join thousands of other ghouls & goblins, princesses & dragons, heroes, mermaids, and animals of every kind for this trick or treat spectacular in Downtown Boulder. This afternoon of fun is recommended for children ages 12 and under and is sure to be a special treat!
